I have four kids that are associated with Bukido between the ages of 3 and 13 years. It has taught them respect for others and themselves and also given them much more confidence and self discipline. I have finally found a Dojo that has a family feel. A place that is not dollar driven and actually cares about my children’s development both in and out of the Dojo.
Bella and Grant (who are highly skilled first and foremost) are two of the most caring, professional, respectful and generous teachers I have ever encountered. They have a group of excellent leaders who teach with patience and skill and clearly are passionate about karate. I have put all three of my children into bukido after seeing how well my son Gabe has thrived in every respect due to bukido. The confidence I have seen in him and the love of karate is a gift to us. My daughters now feel strong and capable, and value those attributes. I strongly encourage all families to check out Bukido - you will not be disappointed!
We have been bringing our two children to Bukido for over five years and cant believe how much they have learnt. The classes have been well thought out to suit the different age groups and skill levels.Instructors are fantastic with the children and have full respect from both children and parents. Well run club with a real family feel.
We joined Bukido 4 years ago with our son. He has gotten so much from the program. Our daughter has just started and loves it! The instructors are so patient when the kids need help. When you walk in the door at Bukido you and your children get greeted by those at the desk. They have great activities for the kids through the year too. I couldn't be happier with choosing Bukido Karate.

We moved to Lilydale in July 2017 and I enrolled my son at Bukido 2 days a week. He has made some new friends, likes and respects his teachers (especially the younger ones) and finishes every class sweating and smiling. It is a welcoming environment for my younger daughter also who spends each class in the play/exercise room out the back. We all love the kids only party nights!!!!! I would highly recommend Bukido Karate, Lilydale.
