Head instructor Grant Bannister has been teaching since 1977. 

Sensei Grant was the only Victorian Martial Artist to be recognised by The Australian Martial Arts Hall of Fame in 2017. He has been a personal bodyguard to a number of stars, including Olivier Newton John. Bob Galdoph (Boomtown rats), Icehouse etc.

His greatest claim is that he through Bukido has helped thousands of students to become great citizens and martial arts athletes.
